| We first reported on Williams J McCorkel's activities on our Mazu site about one year ago. We had heard from more than one of our customers that they felt ripped off by the services that William J McCorkel was supposed to provide for the fee that they paid. We are happy to report that William J McCorkel was convicted on counts ranging from fraud to money laundering, to interfering with a federal investigation. All this has allowed the government to seize nearly $10.6 million in cash, real estate and vehicles. Unfortunately, both William J McCorkel and his wife were convicted and have to serve 24 years in prison (each). While William J McCorkel did cheat and defraud people, 24 years seems like a long time for those crimes. His victims probably don't think so, but I do. William J McCorkel was also convicted in Florida and will serve at least a 20-year sentence as they have minimum sentencing requirements. As you are probably aware, William J McCorkel was selling a distressed real estate and government auctions system on TV. John Polk, who is now selling network marketing on TV, used to sell a similar system. He has also been investigated, charged and is going to be serving time for similar crimes involving the same business opportunity.
